An analysis of Scott’s record on education shows a very strong commitment to limited government principles. As Senator, Scott voted to protect charter schools from overreaching federal regulations, while also allowing funds within tax-exempt savings accounts to be utilized for K-12 school choice. Finally, he blocked attempts by the U.S. senate to overturn Trump administration reforms which limit abuse of federal student loan forgiveness programs.
