An analysis of Haley’s record on education shows a very strong commitment to limited government principles. As Governor, she signed legislation to provide greater regulatory certainty and protections for charter schools to expand school choice, while also cutting funding within the budget for multiple bloated institutions of higher education across the state. Finally, Haley vetoed an attempt to continue to grow the size and scope of government through a pre-school program that contained no oversight.
