An analysis of DeSantis’ record on regulations shows a mixed commitment to limited government principles. As a Congressman, DeSantis had a very strong record on regulations and supported usage of the Congressional Review Act to combat federal overreach. However, as Governor his record shows a significant decline in alignment with limited government principles. While DeSantis signed some good measures combatting overreach by local governments, at the state level imposed multiple additional regulatory burdens on industries.
