This bill authorizes George County to increase the sales tax rate from 2% to 3% on hotels and impose an additional 1% tax on all restaurant sales. The revenue will fund a sports and recreation facility. Taxpayers and businesses should not financially suffer to advance government central planning schemes such as this measure.
