This bill protects owners of manufactured homes and mobile homes who replace an existing home with a new one by prohibiting local governments from imposing new zoning ordinances or regulations that did not apply to the previous home or property. If the director is not a physician, they are required to appoint a physician as Chief Medical Officer. If the director is a physician though, the director may also be the Chief Medical Officer. This bill exempts public works contracts with a value of less than $250,000 from competitive, sealed bidding requirements, an increase from the previous threshold of $100,000.
