An analysis of Trump’s record shows a general commitment to limited government principles surrounding individual liberties. As President, Trump issued executive orders to protect religious liberties and also signed into law a significant “right to try” bill. However, Trump tended to deviate from limited government principles when it came to nicotine and tobacco issues by implementing product bans and raising the age for usage.
